And so most of April went by, then the whole of May and June, and no posts appeared here. Lockdown did get to me, yes. Mustering up the energy for ‘everything-is-normal-in the writer’s-mind’ did not come to pass and is still not back to normal … not that anything is quite ‘normal’ in the present. If you popped in on occasion and found nothing new to browse through, then I am sorry, but I am sure you did understand – not one of us has remained unaffected by the state of the world, after all.
I live in Ireland, and we, too, went through the growing curve of not only those contracting the virus, but the uncertainty, the anxiety, the abrupt lack of freedom. Suddenly it became a chore to determine any kind of wholesome future, and that’s saying something, for ever was I the optimist … not so much in the last few months, though.
Still, stuff happened in the background. Tasks put off for too long are now completed, such as formatting print versions of the omnibus editions (quite the task, I’ll have you know, considering the volume of work), and completing translations for various books, as well as audio.
I hope in the coming weeks to bring you up to date with all that is new, and to reveal more about the Lore Series’ past, present and future. Do come on this journey with me! And may the light of positivity return to all 🙂
